Fabric Stamping and Embellishments

I am inspired by and excited about embellishments. I am still learning and practicing new techniques. A project I am currently working on is rubber stamping fabric and making a small quilt. The idea comes from the book Fabric Embellishing: The Basics & Beyond.  

Yesterday I had a 'Create Day' with my girls and I started the project by making one of the stamps for the layers. I drew a circle design on the Mastercarve block with an regular pencil and then began to carve away while Jillian was watching Care Bears. I kept hearing 'oopsy'. (Must be the name of one of the bears.) And when I made an oopsy, I just fixed it. I am very pleased with the outcomes of my stamp.

 I love making stamps! There is something about the carving that is just FUN for me.
